Raycatcher is a music game developed by Think Studios. It was developed using the Torque Game Builder. The game has its own soundtrack, but it also allows you to create your own ones while you play. The whole purpose of the game is to catch rays of light. You start with pale colored spheres. You can roll them around using your mouse. Colored rays of light will come from all directions and you should catch them with your spheres, obviously matching their color. The more you catch, the more color your spheres gain until you evolve into a higher life form. You have two power-ups to choose from, one clears all incoming rays away, and the other allows symmetrical rays to come into play. The game idea is not that bad. However, the game is very repetitive. The game developers say that this is a game that syncs with your music. This is not true, no matter what music was playing, the game just played the same, no beat-matching or speed-matching with the music. That is unfortunately the downfall of the game. Still, the game idea is really nice and the presentation is superb. You can try it before you make the decision to buy it.
